Development and production Brazil (DPB) is responsible for the company’s operations and business development in Brazil. DPBs ambition is to develop safe and sustainable value growth in Brazil, shaping the future of energy and bringing progress for society. Equinor has been present in Brazil since 2001 and is located with head office in Rio de Janeiro. The company has a diverse portfolio with activities at all stages including: - Exploration licenses (Campos, Espirito Santo and Santos basin), - Operated producing asset: Peregrino field (Campos Basin), that is our largest operated international offshore operation; - Partner operated licenses: Roncador field (Campos Basin) in partnership with Petrobras - Project Development: BM-C-33 (Campos Basin) and Carcará (Pre-salt development in Santos basin) - Renewable energy: Apodi solar project in partnership with Scatec Solar (which is under construction in the Ceará state)
This position will be in the Pre-salt Centre of Excellence (PCE) based in Rio de Janeiro. PCE is the petroleum technology resource unit that has the responsibility for staffing the Equinor-operated pre-salt development and production assets.

Operated production asset, Peregrino field (Campos Basin) - Equinor’s largest operated international offshore operation;
Operated pre-salt project developments, BM-C-33 (Campos Basin) and Carcará (Santos Basin);

Exploration licenses (Campos, Espirito Santo and Santos basins);

Deliver state-of-the-art geomodels for Equinor-operated and future partner-operated pre-salt field development and production assets.
Establish reservoir modelling strategies together across all subsurface disciplines. Ensure that reservoir models capture essential reservoir quality heterogeneities and trends, to enable confident business decisions.
Working in the context of uncertainty analysis. Identifying, estimating and combining the most important uncertainties across the subsurface disciplines to assist in better decisions.
Close collaboration with Equinor subsurface static and dynamic experts to develop workflows and methodologies for modeling of pre-salt reservoirs.
Act as a core member of the pre-salt geomodeling team in Equinor Brazil with the responsibility for ensuring transfer of know-how and experience between relevant business units.
Practical experience with building geomodels of carbonate reservoirs. Pre-salt carbonate reservoir experience preferred.
Proven ability to work across discipline boundaries to ensure proper integration of data and interpretations.
Proficiency with modelling software including RMS, Petrel, OpenWorks. Programming skills including Python are beneficial.
Geological/carbonate geology background is preferred.
Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
7-10 years of relevant experience preferred.
