Project Manager Role

Aerospace Global Facilities is the Team that develops, manages, and/or oversees processes for global implementation for the following domains: Corporate Real Estate, Project Services & Support, Equipment Reliability/Maintenance, Fire & Loss Prevention, Sustainability, and more.

Project Services & Support (PS&S) is the team that develops project delivery processes, tools, and manages and/or consults (with business and site teams) on the end-to-end delivery of construction projects around the globe. PS&S works closely with Real Estate teams, Process/Operations teams, and Plant/Facility Managers on projects from the Define Tollgate to the Close Tollgate. Tollgates include Define, Professional Services Contracting, BOD-Playbooks-Design Standards Development, Design, Site Selection, Equipment Contracting, Equipment Fabrication, Developer-GC-DB Contracting, Mobilization, Turnover, and Close.

Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (SQDIP) is the core focus of our process. Project scope, schedule, budget, site, and 3rd party EHS are all components of SQDIP.

The Project Manager (PjM) is a team member that will provide full project management services for the end-to-end delivery of projects, provide project delivery consulting services, and provide project delivery tools and templates consulting services to site and project teams as assigned.

The PjM will follow the compliant Tollgate process for project delivery. Projects will include greenfield/ground-up, building equipment upgrades, fit-outs, building retrofits, demolitions, etc.

The PjM will prepare project delivery strategies, based on front end programming, to include design-bid-build, developer build-to-suit, design build, Construction Manager as Contractor (both CM At Risk (CMAR)/Principle and CM as Agent), etc.

The PjM will prepare financial estimates/strategies, prepare, and assist with negotiations for outsourced services to include design, PjM 3rd Party Support, Construction, Site Safety, Site Geotech, etc., and assist with developer and contractor agreements/contracts/Lease Work Letters. The PjM will administer the contract process through the project life cycle.

The role of the PjM is to drive projects to completion while consistently exemplifying GEA core values of leadership: Act with Humility, Lead with Transparency, Deliver with Focus.

The PjM will initially provide support on USA based projects and delivery process tools with growth to global project support.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Project Specific Project Management

  • Lead Projects and Teams through the Tollgate Project Delivery process.

  • Utilization of Tollgates and Tollgate Tools/Templates

  • Manage Project Financials

  • Manage Project Schedules

  • Select and Organize Project Design Standards and Playbooks

  • Manage project contracts.

  • Partner with business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop project contracting strategies and deliverables.

  • Drive construction site safety with zero (0) Level A/B/C/PSE events.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university or college or a Architectural degree from an NAAB accredited university or college. (OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in in Design and Project Management) AND a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Design and Project Management.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI).

  • OSHA 10-Hour training.
