Responsible for testing software, documenting and reporting defects to developers, maintaining database of defects and their resolution. Specifically, the job duties include:

1. End-to-End Feature/System/Load Testing Execution: (a) Execute Feature/System/Load Test Cases as per the Test Plan. (b) Analyze the issues found while test execution. (c) Raise the defects for the genuine issues found while execution. (d) Help the Development team to reproduce the issues. (e) Track the defect till it is fixed. (f) Provide required information to the Development team during the Defect lifecycle. (g) Verification of defects once it is fixed. (h) Provide redundancies & enhancements on test scripts, and effective automations to improve efficiency & reliability; and install, upgrade and manage specific devices and software in order to enhance system performance.

    

2. Test Strategy Definition and Test Planning: (a) Define the Test Strategy. (b) Define the Test Automation Plan. (c) Develop test plan for features to be tested. (d) Perform a detailed study of feature specification before creating the Test Plan. (e) Validate the quality of services under typical lab environment, including testing standard Test Objective Lists (TOL) in addition to testing of customer recommended scenarios.

    

3. Define the scope and priority of development Epics to be validated: (a) Discuss with the Development Team and Program Management for defining the Scope and Priority of the Development Epics to be validated. (b) Perform detailed log analysis on issues related to specific nodes (e.g. VoLTE call/SIP signaling/Video calls/RCS messages including IMS architectural nodes of LTE). (c) Propose and provide feedback on drafted technical architecture in case of deficiencies related to system's latency, performance, security, feasibility & other dependencies.

    

4. Understand technical details and validate prototypes: (a) Work with the Development team to understand the technical details of the features to be tested. (b) Communicate with Technical Architects and SMEs to get a detailed know-how of the features to be tested. (c) Validate the possible prototypes. (d) Coordinate with various vendors and other operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of tasks with timely completion; and (e) Mentor new hires on lab environment setup and validation procedures.

    

5. Test Automation: (a) Identify the Test Cases from the Feature and System Test Plan to be automated. (b) Decide on Test Automation Framework to be used. (c) Develop the Test Automation Script. (d) Execute the Test Automation Script.

    

6. Contributing to integration & testing of Carrier 4G and 5G Network for Pre and Post Launch: (a) Support Lab and Field testing on 3GPP compliant 5G protocol stack of Mobile device and Radio Access Network in Lab and Field. (b) Perform detailed log analysis on issues related to specific nodes (e.g. VoLTE call/SIP signaling/Video calls/RCS messages including IMS architectural nodes of LTE and 5G). (c) Provide test strategies & testing suite with sprint releases to meet deliverables.

    

Requirements: Master's (or foreign degree equiv.) degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related plus 2 years' experience as a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, Software QA Lead, Software QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer or related.
