Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Redmond, Washington
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to drive our relationships with key ISVs (independent software vendors) in the High Performance Computing (HPC) domain to accelerate the adoption of Azure as a cloud platform of choice for key HPC applications.
This is a new role in the Azure Compute team, where more than half of Azure’s revenue and users get started! The Azure Compute organization is responsible for the latest and greatest cloud capabilities underpinning core Azure High Performance Computing offerings. ISVs are key to unlocking the potential of cloud elasticity and scalability for HPC applications, allowing our scientific customers to do more of what they like to do – discover, invent and create!
The senior program manager in this role will drive partnerships with key ecosystem players for High Performance Computing (HPC). In close collaboration with the One Microsoft Partner (OCP) and One Microsoft Commercial (OCB) teams, as well as the Product/Program leads, this individual will prioritize the set of partners that matter for the platform and customers, in alignment with strategy. Next, the role will ensure that systematic recruit, build-with, and go-to-market models are in place and supported by the OCP/OCB teams, backed by the engineering team's insights and subject matter expertise.

5+ years of experience in program management, product management, business management, business development, or product planning roles
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, OR equivalent industry experience
Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, strong cross-organization collaborator
Interested or experienced in HPC applications, workflows
Interested or experienced in HPC user, implementer, technical and business decision maker personas
Experienced in building business cases to advocate for customer and partner success
Proficient in driving both technology and business differentiation, market and competitive research
Experience in defining and/or shipping products/services
Experience in building-for or working-with ISV, SI or MSP partner ecosystems
Advanced degrees (MBA or MS in Engineering)
Prior management consulting experience desired
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
