Microsoft Corporation Program Manager, Diversity & Inclusion Programs in Redmond, Washington

Cognition is seeking a Program Manager, Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Programs to help Cognition’s people operations set goals, scale operations and create operational strategy. The ideal candidate will deeply understand Diversity & Inclusion principles and will exercise sharp program management skills to scale initiatives across a >1,000 person, geographically diverse organization.

The Program Manager of D&I will author strategy white papers on D&I, present strategy and KPIs to Technical Fellows and Corporate Vice Presidents and work across recruiting, Human Resources, operations and engineering stakeholders throughout Microsoft.

This is a role that operates from the Cognition Executive Office and on behalf of the AI and MR business across Microsoft with the goal of connecting D&I strategy to execution and scaling new and existing programs. Responsibilities

  • Defining strategy and scaling multiple, concurrently running Diversity & Inclusion initiatives across a growing and geographically diverse engineering organization specializing in Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence

  • Authoring strategy whitepapers and presenting D&I initiatives, outcomes and strategies to a leadership team of Technical Fellows and Corporate Vice Presidents on a recurring basis

  • Leading the product management lifecycle of culture programs, applications and inclusion tools across a large organization

  • Designing Diversity & Inclusion OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) that directly contribute to and advance the long-range organizational goals

  • Establishing relationships with key stakeholders across Human Resources, Recruiting, Operations, Strategy and Engineering to communicate and scale stakeholder and employee involvement initiatives

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • An unyielding and demonstrated passion, knowledge and patience for the development of diversity & inclusion initiatives and principles

  • At least three years of experience scaling diversity and inclusion initiatives from ideas to operationally efficient programs and/or managing complex programs with emphasis on Diversity & Inclusion

  • Exceptional written communication skills to write actionable strategy papers

  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with larges teams

  • Experience creating and reporting outcomes on OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) or Key Performance Indicators across multiple products, programs or initiatives

  • Program, product, operational management experience

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills to present complex programs to executives

  • Quantitative and market analysis skills to evaluate trends in the technology industry hiring with special emphasis on AI and Mixed Reality

  • At least five years of experiences in Program Management, Product Management, Diversity & Inclusion or Operations

  • Engineering and Program Management backgrounds preferred

  • Experience leading and scaling teams of indirect reports

  • An understanding of the AI and Mixed Reality business and products
