Microsoft Corporation Program Manager 2 in Redmond, Washington

Looking for a high energy, communicative, technically savvy PM, familiar with or able to code, with a knack for product and UX design, to work closely with a team of agile and nimble software engineers. You care about solid engineering, great design, can partner with various teams across the company to solve challenging problems with creative solutions. You don’t settle for half-decent products; you iterate and improve.

Responsibilities

  • Bring a great product sense, technical aptitude, and an eagerness to solve difficult problems. You will work closely with the development team to define scenarios and deliver high-impact software products.

  • Participate in daily standups and biweekly planning meetings, assess and share progress, prioritize and unblock work, take ownership and partner with teams across Microsoft to drive your features to completion. Learn, teach, and celebrate progress.

  • Create clarity in requirements, review with partners, embrace agility, fend off scope creep, and support the team to build and deliver high quality and secure products.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Program Manager developing customer-facing products

  • Experience developing specs, requirements, UX, and shipping a web or mobile application

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, Google or any other cloud provider is desired; a broad understanding of various SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions and offerings is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, aptitude and persistence for solving complex business problems

  • Ability to resolve ambiguity or conflict situations to bringteams and stakeholders into alignment

  • Technical problem-solving and analytical skills using data analysis and escalation management in a complex environment

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to impact & influence key stakeholders

Background Check Requirements

  • Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
