Microsoft Corporation Program Manager 2 in Redmond, Washington

The Application Platform and Edge eXperiences team (APEX) in Azure is looking for a Program Manager to create epic experiences for building and interacting with customers in Azure, on Windows and cross platform. As a Program Manager on the APEX team you will be responsible for contributing to features that span mobile device and web ecosystems while building best in class services and experiences for Microsoft as well.


As part of the team you will get to work with partners across various parts of the company including Azure IoT, Windows Shell, Microsoft Teams, Hololens, Office, and a wide variety of internal and external apps partners. We also highly value direct interaction with our customers and external developers and enterprise communities through customer engagement programs, technology early adopter programs, and Microsoft events like Build and Ignite.

Basic qualifications:

2 years of work experience as a Program Manager or comparable industry role with a focus on apps, services, or platform features

BS/BA/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience

Additional qualifications desired:

Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritization across multiple partners and projects, and triage issues

Excellent listening and writing skills, and the ability to successfully lead and communicate with a cross-functional team

Experience writing content for a developer and external audience (blog posts, documentation)

Highly capable presenter to large groups

Excellent project management skills

Contributions to Open Source projects

Outstanding ability to collaborate with other teams

Experience with enterprise app deployment and IT Pros

Proven track record shipping quality products on time

Developed and shipped an app in an app store (Microsoft Store, Google Play, or Apple App Store)

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
