The Notes team at Microsoft is responsible for OneNote, Sticky Notes, and some other cool future stuff we can’t talk about yet. This role is a Principal Software Engineer working on a variety of services and machine learning models to unify quick note-taking and recall across the Microsoft Graph, Sticky Notes, OneNote and critical partners. We work on delivering modern & mobile-centric solutions for real customer scenarios, spanning many aspects of their work and home lives.

Proven knowledge of how services work, with a history of designing, developing, deploying, and evolving services in a dev-ops managed production environment, with a strong focus on improving service efficiency and reliability.
A history of inter-team partnerships, working closely with large teams to help find common goals, orchestrate the complex to be simple, and operationalize our efforts.
Clear and effective communication skills, be it when you write code, send emails, or explain complex technical issues to non-technical co-workers.
Reliable and responsible work ethic. You enjoy taking on responsibility within your role, on projects you have initiated, and bringing out the best in your teammates.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, or 10+ years of Software Engineering experience, including 5+ years of designing, developing, deploying, and evolving applications at a global scale.
Leadership skills displayed via 4+ years of official management experience or clear examples of effectively leading project teams.
Bonus Credit for:
F# experience or a history of working with other functional languages.
Experience with Exchange architecture, the Outlook REST APIs, and our auth platform (OAuth 2).
Solid knowledge of security and compliance regulations.
