Microsoft’s Autonomous Driving team is creating the world’s best hyper-scale platform for the development of autonomous vehicles. The team works with key transportation customers and technology partners to build an end-to-end solution for the development and continuous improvement of autonomous capabilities, spanning ADAS through L4/L5. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across Azure, including core cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, and storage), edge computing and ML/AI. We are looking for an energetic, customer-obsessed Principal Program Manager for product management of our autonomous driving platform. This will involve:
Enhancing and communicating a strategic product roadmap
Creating product innovations that disrupt the market
Delivery of E2E customer scenarios, in partnership with the development team
Deep engagements with customers and partners at the technical and business level
Driving customer adoption and business growth
Competitive and market analysis
Success in this role will involve identifying, engaging with and delivering successful customer solutions for marquee customers. You should have strong technical and analytical skills coupled with excellent collaboration, communication and coordination skills. You should also demonstrate strong strategic thinking, with the ability to deeply understand customer requirements, identify new ways of looking at problems and uncover opportunities. You should be a creative problem solver, with the ability to lead virtual teams through ambiguity and, of course, have a clear passion for partners and customers.
5+ years of professional technical program or product management experience
BA/BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or related disciplines
Customer and partner engagement and business development experience
Strong technical background and solid foundation in software engineering principles and architecture desige
Automotive industry experience preferred
Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to lead and motivate a high-energy team
Excellent written and oral communication
Strong cross-team collaboration skills
