Microsoft Corporation Principal Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is one of the fastest growing services in the history of Azure, with many of the world’s largest organizations are running mission critical containerized applications on the platform. The AKS team is seeking an experienced technical product leader to help us to continue growing the service. You will work withteams across the company and with partners to build the world’s best managed Kubernetes service.


  • Help define the product vision for AKS on Azure and build near-term product roadmaps based on that vision

  • Work across Microsoft and with partners to execute on the roadmap

  • Define and track key performance indicators for the product and the business

  • Represent the product in meetings with customers and partners

  • Partner closely with product marketing and press/analyst relations to ensure that the services are appropriately positioned in the market


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical product leadership role

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar, OR equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large enterprise customers to design and build systems architectures

  • Experience with container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift is strongly preferred

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
