It gives customers the freedom to query data on their terms, using either serverless on-demand or provisioned resources, at scale. It brings the data lake and data warehouse together in a single service with the flexibility of using SQL Analytics, Apache Spark and data integration capabilities. With Azure Synapse customers can build their end to end analytics solution with a unified experience to ingest, prepare, manage, and serve data for their business intelligence and machine learning needs.

The Azure Synapse Analytics team is looking for passionate, seasoned Product Managers to work closely with customers building end to end analytics solutions to accelerate time to insight for their business. Azure is growing at a phenomenal pace with Data and AI at the center of how customers are transforming through the cloud. As a Product Manager for Azure Synapse you will define innovative new ways to improve data analytics capabilities and productize it for Azure customers. We are looking to solve customer challenges in creating big data solutions for their data processing, data analytics, business intelligence and machine learning scenarios. Breaking the barriers in creating end to end analytics solutions enables business agility and collaboration between data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts. You will work closely with an exceptional engineering team to deliver value to customers quickly and iteratively.


You will be involved in defining product vision, roadmap, experience, and customer and business success. You will need to effectively partner with engineering teams, stakeholders, marketing and sales teams. The right candidate will bring a good mix of experience with data warehousing, big data technologies, product management know how, technical acumen, customer focus, and a ‘get it done’ attitude.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or IT technical discipline or in place of 3+ years of internship or 3+ years of industry engineering experience

  • 7 years professional experience in product design, product management or product engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data warehousing, Spark or other big data technologies

  • Understanding of the data analytics and cloud computing

  • Curiosity combined with a desire to ask hard questions.

  • High enthusiasm, integrity, results-orientation, self-motivation, and resourcefulness in a fast-paced competitive environment.

  • Strong collaboration experience as well as ability to find win/win solutions

  • Proven ability to drive strong business results

  • Experience delivering cloud based products and services

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience writing Product Requirements Documents and User Stories.
