The Microsoft Commercial Cloud - lead by Azure and including Office 365 and Dynamics CRM - is expanding at an unprecedented rate across the globe. Today, Azure is generally available in 46 regions more than Amazon and Google combined. As we drive to be the leading cloud platform in the world, the Azure Global Ecosystem team is looking for a passionate and driven PM to support our cloud growth and expansion across the globe.

Our team resides within the Azure Global team and our focus is to grow the usage and adoption of Azure across several broad, strategic initiatives - such as Azure DevOps security & Privacy etc. We are a passionate group and in search of a program manager who shares our growth mindset and desire to be the global leader in this space.

You will lead a team of technical PMs responsible for implementing a new multi-tenant region environment to address a multi-billion-dollar market opportunity

Primary responsibilities:

  • Listen to and understand customer requirements, translate these into viable technical roadmaps, programs, plans as well as cloud architectures with the ability to communicate up through executive level

  • Manage relationship with engineering leaders to establish a shared strategic technical vision and agenda, with plans, roadmap, programs and feedback efforts that guide Azure Cloud expansion strategy

  • Develop and manage our technical engagement, orchestration model and overall success indicators in partnership with our Infrastructure and Software Engineering counterparts

  • Share strategy, customer insights, technical collateral and presentations with the ability to adapt for various levels of stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include executive leadership from C+AI, Cloud Supply Chain & Provisioning, Cloud Operations and Innovation and O365

  • Set vision for Azure Cloud WW expansion to address Global markets

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong, demonstrated technical problem solving and communication skills; an ability to define common requirements across a wide range of diverse customers; and a passion for simplicity in design that drives scalability.

  • Significant experience in systems side of software development including one or more of the following: highly scalable infrastructure, server/device health, database engines, network fabric, and software/automation.

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with system architecture and optimization with a track record of successful solution delivery (e.g. implementing a solution that drives results). Strong x-cross team skills are required.

  • Demonstrated customer focus and end-to-end thinking across teams and experiences.

  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems

Experience Desired:

  • 10+ years of experience years in professional software development or Program Management is required.

  • 10+ years in program management experience spanning network, server, infrastructure tooling, and compliance preferred.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Advanced Sciences is necessary.

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Experience as a key contributor to designing, shipping and operating large-scale, public cloud services.

  • Must have detailed knowledge of Azure physical infrastructure and service offerings.

  • 10-25% travel to be expected in this role
