Microsoft Corporation Principal Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for a Principal PM to join us in driving the future of hyperscale computing for AI. We are transforming Microsoft’s AI training and inferencing capabilities through cutting-edge accelerated hardware, software and hyperscale distributed systems. These solutions are and will be used by internal and external customers to build and run large-scale artificial intelligence models more efficiently and at lower cost.

You will work closely with customers, partner teams, and hardware/software engineers to plan, scope, and drive product integration strategy and execution - ensuring successful delivery of these systems into the broader Azure infrastructure and product portfolio.

We are a multidisciplinary team with a collaborative culture and a strong track record of delivering strategic impact to Microsoft, as part of the Azure Hardware Systems Group. We have a proven history of driving creation and deployment of AI acceleration systems to Microsoft data centers worldwide and innovating on that hardware to break new ground in deep learning and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

Work closely with customers, partner teams, and hardware/software engineers to plan, scope, and drive product integration strategy and execution - ensuring successful delivery of these systems into the broader Azure infrastructure and product portfolio.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in product & service development or research

  • 5+ years of experience driving cross-group collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in computer science/engineering or related area

  • 8+ years of experience working directly with customers and the field

  • Working knowledge of Azure technology and business

  • Understanding of FPGAs and other silicon/processor types

  • Good understanding of and experience in machine learning/AI technologiessuch as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and CUDNN/CUDA.

  • Proven ability to lead multiple high-profile projects and to effectively leverage available resources within and across teams to drive results

  • Self-starter who deals well with and thrives in ambiguity and has a proven ability to drive clarity and productive action
