Microsoft Corporation Principal Program Manager in Redmond, Washington
As we strengthen our Azure Security Business (recently launch Azure Sentinel at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/azure-sentinel/ ), the Product Development team strives to build a strong business for these products. This role should act like a business development lead – working with customers and training the field, understanding customer challenges and Azure security sales process and sales blockers and to coordinate between the account, the business and the Product Development teams to unblock these customers. The uniqueness of this job is that we are building a new business and there needs to be a close alignment between the PMs and the field in making it a success.
The purpose of this role is to establish a strong connection between the field and the C+AI security org. This role will focus on helping the field unblock large opportunities, support the field with knowledge transfer. and provided feedback back to the Product Development Group. The primary focus is on Azure Security Center and Sentinel order to drive Azure Security Business.
*Location is flexible to be either in Redmond WA or the East Coast*
Coordinate closely with internal partner groups (PMs and development teams) to help unblock new external Azure customer deals, drive Azure Security Business, provide feedback to feature PMs about blockers and high-level customer challenges and requirements as well as provide knowledge transfer to the field.
Perform market analysis to determine which industries have a strong presence in the region, and to understand the potential customer base for Azure Security products.
Define high potential customers for those Products
Create and manage pipeline visibility for the Product Group
Help to unblock deals (with PMs and CxP)
Provide better knowledge transfer to the field (with PMs and CxEs)
Provide valuable insights to the product teams and Engineering, in the product planning process
Develop relationship with partners and MSSPs
Work with customers on both formal and informal reference relationships and plans.
Build strong executive level and business relationships within accounts.
8+ years working in a technical environment with at least 4 years as a Program Manager, Product Manager, or related role.
2+ years working directly in the technical security space
Ability to travel 25-50%, including both domestic and international travel.
Knowledgeable about Microsoft security products, ideally with familiarity around Azure business model
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field – OR – comparable experienceExperience working with remote/Israeli teams
