As we drive to be the leading cloud platform in the world, Azure Global is hiring an exceptional Senior Program Manager to bring laser focus on meeting Azure’s global availability promise and serve growing customer demand around the world. We create and drive policy, tools and programs to ensure all Microsoft cloud offerings can be made available globally – across all public regions and national clouds. In this role, you’ll work with engineering teams across Microsoft to motivate and drive global expansion, hold teams accountable for delivering on global availability promise, influence architecture and design of select cloud services, and help unblock large revenue opportunities for Azure and other C+AI owned products. Overall, you’ll help drive the rapid expansion of Azure and Microsoft cloud offerings.
Define program, measures and success criteria to achieve service and feature parity across Azure public regions/national clouds and drive work to deliver on these outcomes
Work closely with engineering teams to understand constraints, motivate and drive global expansion priorities and enable them to meet/unblock global and sovereign region demand
Develop tools, data models and automation to scale programs across 100s of teams and 1000s of engineers
Build technical depth in tools and processes used to deploy Azure services and use this understanding to track and unblock service deployments
Collaborate with Azure stakeholders and Microsoft field and marketing organizations to understand demand and prioritize service deployment work
10+ years of technical program management experience
Technical expertise and ability to build trust with technical teams and architects
3+ years of software development or data modeling/analysis experience
BS or higher degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated customer focus and end-to-end thinking for technical projects
Experience collaborating with/driving projects across large teams (500 or more people)
Product development and/or DevOps experience in a cloud environment
Effective communication including VP/Executive report outs
