Microsoft Corporation Operations Program Manager in Redmond, Washington
The Product Lifecyle Manager will lead the execution of Surface and PC Accessory launches and retirement. You will not do every step in the process but ensure every step of the process from announce to launch is done. To do this, you will:
Own the workback schedule from Launch Date, identifying critical steps and calling out risks to launch dates.
Develop and support the launch plan and approach for Surface & PC Accessories.
Develop and maintain a key milestone tracker with a comprehensive view to assess launch progression and health.
Communicate, communicate and communicate! Identifying risks early. Create action plans to address key dependencies and areas of risk.
Incorporated learnings into new launch structure to enable proactive issue identification.
Establish a Lifecycle communication forum - this involves either maintaining a seat at the table of existing forums or establishing one.
This position will continually look for ways to ensure each new accessory is launched and retired successfully.
Early engagement with BGs to proactively shape GTM plans based on volume/cost/complexity tradeoffs
Supply chain strategies & capabilities (network design/capacity) to support product portfolio roadmap
Launch/end of life planning & execution from factory to on-shelf across e2e supply chain (Plan of Record, Schedule, Cost)
Scenario modeling, reporting and analytics to drive lifecycle planning
Interface for new market expansion/new SKU introduction
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically with a hands-on spirit.• Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.• Leadership of complex cross functional projects, with proven ability to meet challenging organizational objectives.• Ability to partner across several organizations at all levels including senior management to design and implement programs & solutions.• Knowledge of business systems and information technology for managing supply chain.• Good business judgment, exceptional communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically.
Bachelor’s degree (BS/MS in supply chain, operations management, math/economics or engineering) or equivalent work experieince.
