Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. The CO+I Global Datacenter Services team is seeking a seasoned and innovative Operations Analyst with a passion for data, analytics, process improvements, helping others, technology, and operations. You would join a team that works to deliver and evolve a holistic Datacenter performance management platform for CO+I leadership to help the organization make better business decisions.
By blending modern analytics capabilities with business strategy, you will help influence the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

As an Operations Analyst – Datacenter Health your top goals will be to define, build, and leverage various PowerBI based performance dashboards across large, diverse data sets to gain a deeper understanding of Datacenter KPIs across our worldwide Datacenter Services teams.
Collaborate and engage with SMEs and Domain experts to gain operational insights. Leverage these insights to build PowerBI-based dashboards (and related infrastructure) to solve real-world issues.
Design an analytical approach and deliver research & findings using data, standard statistical models, visualizations, and effective user-centric techniques.
Translate findings into succinct & actionable business insights, often in coordination with stakeholders & partners who help you tell a holistic story.
Evangelize dashboard offerings, document usage scenarios & dashboard navigation, and drive dashboard adoption.
Develop deep & empathetic connections with DC Operations leaders (HQ and Field) and leverage these connections to advocate for streamlined and actionable KPI measures & reporting solutions.
Provide support and sustained development for data infrastructure leveraged by DC Operations leaders.
Participate in technical communities to stay informed of best practices & changes within the broader discipline and share them with the organization
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
Educate users and stakeholders on self-service solutions.
Solve often ambiguous business problems by formulating and facilitating solutions that realize the needs and provide for the requirements arising in the organization.
Effectively contract and communicate with customers, partners, and co-workers to define deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.

3+ years of experience defining, building, releasing, and evangelizing PowerBI-based dashboards to influence data driven decisions with diverse leadership audiences
5+ years of experience in PowerBI, SQL, SQL Server Analysis Services, and DAX
5+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, analytics, and statistics
BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
Proficient with SQL Azure, Azure Services, and Azure Data Factory
C#, Python, and/or R experience
Experience analyzing big data to drive business decisions
Previous Datacenter exposure/experience
Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries
Exceptional consultative skills with a high customer empathy/focus and project management skills – able to interact and deliver professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Willingness to adapt quickly to shifting business priorities
Strong attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy and auditing
Background Check Requirements:

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
