Business Applications Practice

The Business Applications Practice within Microsoft Services, helps customers maximize their investment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions and the full portfolio of Microsoft Products through accelerated implementation and adoption. The Microsoft Business Applications Practice team is part of a global organization of exceptional people who lead and serve our customers and partners as they realize their full potential through software and services.


The Consultant in Enterprise Services delivers technical solutions to customers allowing them to maximize their investment in Microsoft technology. Building upon solid IT project experience relative to their level, these consultants will work with Microsoft's partners to assist customers in the delivery of high quality engagements around Microsoft's solution areas, technologies, services and products in diverse client environments. The Consultant will also help assist customers in stabilizing developed solutions using Microsoft methodologies in complex customer environments, in the design and development of integrated solutions using the latest Microsoft products, services and technologies and understanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations implications of the developed solution.

Demonstrated experience in analysis skills and principles of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Solutions to provide detailed reliable options

Drive client workshops to demonstrate product capabilities and gather customer requirements

Analyze requirements and aid in designing technical solutions to meet business goals, objectives and functional/non-functional requirements in alignment with architectural standards

Disposition requirements to be addressed by out of the box features, via standard configuration and via customization

Lead and/or development tasks related to Dynamics CRM

Support the development of test scenarios/scripts and coordinate client testing of developed solution

Develop appropriate requirements, design, testing and deployment documentation to support the solution delivery

Provide subject matter expertise to customers around implementation methodologies and how to successfully deploy CRM solutions

Work with other team members and leaders, proactively identify and mitigate/resolve risks and issues

Contribute best practices, lessons learned and IP from projects to the global community with focus on continuous improvement

Foster client relationships and engage with client stakeholders to gather requirements, develop plans and drive solution success

Desired Experience

The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience plus 2-4 years of relevant work experience, with CRM large scale enterprise implementations, global CRM solutions (such as Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, etc.) in multiple industries. Successful candidate will have relevant analysis, design, development and implementation experience in CRM based solutions around Case Management, Sales Productivity, Citizen Services, Field Services, Project Service Automation, Customer Care and Contact Center. Experience working in a Services organization in a consulting capacity is strongly preferred. Experience working on multi-phase global implementations is preferred.

Desirable, (but not required) technical experience includes hands-on expertise in several of the following Microsoft products or technologies: .NET, SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, BizTalk, SharePoint, Office, Active Directory and application Architecture.

The job requires frequent travel (75% +)

Clearance Requirement:

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Security Clearance and be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance at the level sought by our customers when required for the role. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
