As a member of Santander’s retail banking division you’ll help serve Santander’s retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits. The Associate, Program Management implements, communicates, and expands various programs ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed. S/he assists in overseeing and managing planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting on programs. The incumbent supports the program manager in execution of assigned programs.

This position focuses on programs to enhance products, processes and controls related to payments, including US Domestic Wire and ACH transactions, as well as cross-border payments and emerging payment capabilities, including Real-Time payments (RTP).


  • Develop and manage process and product development priorities by coordinating with product, operations and technology organizations.

  • Support resource planning. Generate, track and maintain project action items and risks.

  • Assist in the capture, scoping, and definition of system capabilities.

  • Assist the IT team in management, prioritization, and project initiation for new business requests.

  • Support various business teams and IT sponsors to define and document the scope of new business processes and capabilities.

  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

  • Support senior managers in the planning of new projects, including creating communication plans and developing project communications.

  • Act in the capacity as the point person for Operations on assigned programs/projects and liaise with Operations personnel to ensure appropriate input and collaboration.

  • Identify, document and ensure plans are in place to address project impacts to the various Operations groups.

  • Leverage payments industry knowledge (Wire, ACH/NACHA, SWIFT, ISO20022, RTP, etc.) to participate in the development of business cases, requirements documentation, procedural enhancements, operational models and test plans for initiatives undertaken to support the overall Payments Strategy.



  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5-9 years; Hands-on experience with product design and testing, customer service, and community management.

  • Ability to multi-task.
