Position Overview: The Materials Clerk / Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and safely operating forklifts to transport materials within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of shipments.
2. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
3. Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
4. Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials within the facility.
5. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
6. Collaborate with other team members and departments to fulfill material requests and support production schedules.
7. Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep the warehouse and work areas clean and organized.
8. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification/license preferred.
• Proven experience as a materials clerk, warehouse associate, or forklift operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

   

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 70 pounds).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
