Job Description

This Job is a dual role position. The first role is as the Storage Team leader for the IRLP (IBM Remote Learning Platform) Education environment. In this role the person has responsibility for all Storage related support for the IRLP mission here in Poughkeepsie. As the Storage team lead, the candidate is responsible for the entire storage infrastructure supporting all platform classes, along with the specific Storage class offerings. As such the candidate should have a good familiarity with the Storage product line in addition to system administration skills to support such Storage devices and software. Team leadership skills are also critical for leadership, communications, scheduling, managing projects, and teaming. The second role is as the Organization's Capital Planner and Software Licensing Lead. In this role the person will be responsible for all aspects of managing, negotiating, and consolidating our capital requirements and software licensing needs, and representing the organization on all capital related calls. This role is also a team leadership type of role and requires similar skills of a team leader.

This individual will collaborate with other local and worldwide Client Experience Center teams supporting the IRLP mission and Capital needs for the entire Organization. There will be daily interaction with other Client Experience Center personnel.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

The ideal candidate has strong Storage system administrator skills and overall team leadership skills.

This position requires leadership, communications, teaming and some project management level skills.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
