Trinity Health Residential Support Specialist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Residential Supports Specialist is a Direct Service position which provides assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness. This position is designed to provide quality services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities/ Serious Mental Illness as guided by Positive Practices and Person Centered Planning. This position is directly responsible to the Program Supervisor and is expected to operate with considerable initiative and professionalism. The Residential Support Specialist serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and is involved in the planning of services for the individuals. The Residential Support Specialist and works with all individuals. In the event of unforeseeable emergencies, staff may be required to stay until relief arrives. Staff will be expected to relocate to another facility/program as needed to meet minimum staffing need for each site. Staff are to interact with internal/external partners and those we support with respect and dignity exceeding their expectations in service. A Residential Support Specialist is expected to resolve all complaints as they present in a courteous compassionate manner with the goal of solving the concern..

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Residential Support Specialistsprovide assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment locations. We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.
In any given day, you might cook, clean, bathe, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family members, and design games and crafts. We’re looking for employees who are professional, flexible, compassionate, and can remain composed in stressful situations.
This is a team-based position. Our sites are like your family home! Your dependability, integrity, empathy for others (both persons served and your fellow employees), and dedication to teamwork are essential to this position.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and be able to drive an organization automobile/van
- Must have Act 33/34/73 Clearances upon hire
WORK SCHEDULE:Sunday, Monday, Tuesday ; Wednesday/Thursday OFF; Friday 3p-10:30p; Saturday 2p-9:30p
