Traumatic events or circumstances, including homelessness + abuse ABOUT THE ROLE Our Residential Care Advisors provide assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment locations. We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.
In any given day, you might provide counseling and behavioral support through the use of psycho-educational groups and milieu maintenance with children and adolescents in a residential setting, including goal and objective reviews, socialization activities, assisting with daily living skills and providing individual and crisis prevention/management interventions (ability to complete physical restraints/Holds, involving kneeling, sitting and standing). Residents are monitored per their individualized safety plans. This is an awake overnight position where the care Advisor will follow consumer’s individualized Safety Plan, checking on consumer’s per regulation and Safety Plan, documenting appropriately, conducting Medication Checks, Charting and chart Audits, laundry, completing temperature Logs and other unit duties assigned.

- Bachelor Degree in Social Services OR 4 years paid related work experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive an organization automobile/van
- Must have Act 33/34/73 Clearances upon hire
WORK SCHEDULE:Awake Overnight Hours, not to exceed 37 hours per week, primarily Sunday-Tuesday 11pm-9am. Flexibility REQUIRED to cover unit needs. Holidays as needed. Hours and schedule may vary at discretion of supervisor and unit needed.
