UnitedHealth Group Manager Clinical Pharmacy, Patient Care - Phoenix, AZ in Phoenix, Arizona

The Manager Clinical Pharmacy, Patient Care is accountable for managing the daily clinical pharmacy operations including: monitoring standard call center performance metrics (ACW, ACD, AHT, Abandoned rate etc.), ensuring client contractual obligations are met, , and appropriate clinical and regulatory guidelines are followed for compliance. Additional primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Responsible for management of approximately17 direct reports (Pharmacists & Technicians)

  • Handle recruiting activities for department staffing, including establishingcandidate requirements and compensation levels

  • Establish departmental performancestandards for team performance including but not limited to productivity,quality, and attendance and provides regular feedback to team regarding theirindividual achievements or opportunities for improvement

  • Manage client implementation process, including hiring and training for new member volume, implementing all clientspecific processes and coordinating with client and implementation teams on allclinical programs/services being implemented for operational support via the clinical call center

  • Supports, plans, and prepares forclient site visits, regulatory audits,

  • Collaborate with team leaders tooptimize operational processes and identify opportunities to improve quality

  • Work with team leaders to developplans and priorities that address/resolve operational challenges

  • Other duties as assigned by Sr.Director, Pharmacy Services - Clinical Engagement

  • This position is onsite in Phoenix,Arizona

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or Pharm D degree required

  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacistlicense in Arizona

  • 2+ years of experience in aleadership/management role, preferably within retail pharmacy or clinicalsetting

  • 2+years of experience with operational management including metrics related to clinicalpharmacy and/or call center

  • Experience mentoring/coaching staff,building morale, promoting team engagement

  • Adept with conflict resolution relatedto pharmacy operations and/or call center

  • Ability to determine the needs ofeach individual team member and assist them in achieving set goals

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlookand PowerPoint

  • Highly motivated and self-directedwith the ability to motivate the team

  • Ability to interact crossfunctionally within the organization, assess various viewpoints and arrive at asolution that best meets organizational needs

  • Excellent time management,organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiplepriorities

  • Ability to effectively presentinformation and respond to questions from groups of associates, managers,senior leadership, and clients

  • Adaptable and able to move withchange, while maintaining a positive attitude and a strong role model for theteam

  • Willing to work flexible hours in afast paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct call center experience highlypreferred

  • Strong written and verbalcommunication skills
