This role within Enterprise Information Technology specifically focuses on coordinating and driving activities across the Wealth and Investment Management Technology - Brokerage Operations Systems and Services (BOSS) organization pertaining to the Technology Compliance Plan and preceding technology compliance programs. The BOSS teams drive strategic delivery for our Front, Middle, and Back-office by supporting, controlling and developing technology solutions that enable our partners to achieve their vision. These solutions support critical functions in BETA, Securities Lending, Client Reporting, Lending and Banking Services, and Finance.

Position Responsibilities:

The Business Systems Consultant acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis and resolution of highly complex business problems with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Has the ability to accommodate communication with offshore partners outside of US regular business hours when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 + years of experience identifying, documenting, escalating and resolving issues

  • 3 + years of experience writing Functional Specifications Documents (FSD's)

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships

  • Systems vulnerability management experience

  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Knowledge and understanding of patch management

  • Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization

  • Experience working with changing priorities and deadlines

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
