Program Overview

The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.

Role Overview

AEGIS is an enterprise-wide integrated Design, Drafting, and Visualization platform that serves as the source of truth for all plant infrastructure it provides the tools necessary to facilitate the construction of all new fiber and coax plant as well as visibility into this data for a wide array of business needs. The Software Developer Co-op position will support and improve tools developed within the AEGIS organization.

Co-op duties to include, but not limited to:

-Leverage computer engineering background and assist with P2 and Aegis programming needs.

-Data entry and quality assurance for the Aegis Beacon App

-Troubleshooting of performance & maintenance of Aegis products

-Research, conceive and develop intelligent solutions.

-Provide regular updates to internal teams

-Participate in tool strategy and product meetings

-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university that has a cooperative learning track

-Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting April 1st, 2019

-Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering

-3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred

-Experience in Software engineering and data analysis.

-Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries.

-Ability to work on a team.

-Authorized to work in the United States of America
