Job Description Summary

This is a full time Senior Research Coordinator position at the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics who will work on a newly funded research contract. This position is contingent on funding.

Job Description

The Research Coordinator will work under the guidance of the contract Principal Investigator and senior biostatistician faculty member to help design, conduct, analyze, and report the findings of this research project. He/she will be responsible for working independently with external group staff to find the datasets appropriate for the study, harmonizing the data, perform analyses, obtaining study related IRB, data tracking, and administrative activity as needed. Position will require occasional travel to cities in the Northeast to meet collaborating staff and investigators.


This position requires a BA/BS in a scientific field, with at least 3-5 years of experience with data management and/or statistical analysis. The preferred candidate will have both. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Experience with one or more statistical programs and at least one database program required. Must be able to work effectively and independently on complex projects, problem solve issues as they arise but willing to seek help as appropriate to complete the work efficiently.
