The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a Molecular Pathologist to be appointed in the Division of Precision and Computational Diagnostics in the non-tenure Penn Medicine Clinician position in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance (limited to three (3) years). The ideal candidate will be expected to have precision diagnostics training with aptitude in molecular pathology and next generation sequencing-based testing including, variant interpretation, reporting and validation in NGS-based assays. Sign-out capabilities encompassing a variety of testing platforms assessing oncology, constitutional, and infectious disease scenarios would be inclusive activities in this position. The individual will function as a junior attending, sign out on rotations with and without trainees. This individual will be primarily involved in providing clinical service, and adjunctive functions including staffing the multi-disciplinary tumor boards.
The ideal candidate must have an M.D equivalent degree and completed training with Board Certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology, and completed training in Molecular Genetic Pathology, with eligibility or certification by the American Board of Pathology.
