Job Description Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for assisting with leading and conducting evaluations of four national clinical trials, funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Instititute/Foundation (PCORI) that use PCORnet resources such as clinical research networks. The PM assist the Supervisor with determining evaluation criteria from investigators, researchers, stakeholders, and PCORnet and PCORI leaders, and will serve as the point person for all evaluation activities, being responsible for dissemination of evaluation material to PCORI and PCORnet leadership and to investigators and stakeholders. This position requires sensitive negotiations with project investigators and staff. This position is contingent on funding.

Job Description


Responsible for program and process evaluation of four national clinical trials, each in different clinical domains. Develop, implement, and administer evaluation instruments, including online surveys and telephone interviews. Conduct interviews of research investigators and staff of four national clinical trials. Analyze evaluation results and assist with dissemination to research project investigators and staff, as well as funding agency and advisory board. Meet with investigators on a periodic basis to conduct interviews. Write periodic progress reports to the funding agency. Assist with submissions to the Institutional Review Board.


Required: Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field; Three to five years or an equivalent combination of years and experience in program evaluation and clinical research, ideally in an academic medical research setting; Demonstrated expertise in survey development and analysis; Ability to interact with wide range of clinical research professionals; Ability to travel for short periods (1-2 days) in the US periodically (2-3 times/year); Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as experience with meeting planning. Ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision.

Preferred: Master's Degree; Expertise in statistical analysis; Creativity in report design and production.
