UnityPoint Health-Methodist Campus
Shift:Full time/40 hrs per week-1st shift 8A-4:30P
Performs daily deliveries, educates customers on equipment and general inventory control.
Delivers equipment and supplies to patients. Assumes "on call" responsibilities.
Educates patients and family members on the use of equipment.
Instructs on equipment safety and maintenance.
Performs routine maintenance of the oxygen equipment.
Maintains a schedule and completes all preventive maintenance on oxygen concentrators as required
Performs required service for all equipment
Assists with inventory management
Alerts the Supervisor when inventory levels are low
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse.
Repairs equipment when needed.
Maintains maintenance records when servicing equipment.
Maintains records of equipment locations
Secondary job functions
Knows and understands Illinois Department of Transportation, FDA, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations related to home medical equipment◦Medicare/Medicaid regulations related to home medical equipment
Follows and maintains the necessary records to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Assist patients on Medicare and Medicaid payment guidelines when necessary.
Cleans all equipment when returned.
CLINICAL COMPETENCY AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IS MAINTAINED ACCORDING TO DEPARTMENTAL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
Must complete Department of Transportation, oxygen, and hazard material management training during first 120 days of employment
Maintains current knowledge of all related regulatory requirements
Completes annual department competencies as determined by supervisor
Participates in annual mandatory training and education as required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
License and Certification
Must have a valid Illinois Driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record. An unacceptable driving record is defined as: More than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the most recent 3 years, more than 2 moving violations and/or accidents in the most recent year, and drivers with a "major conviction" within the last 5 years (DWI OR DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, careless or reckless driving violations, making a false accident report, reckless homicide, manslaughter or assault arising out of the use of a vehicle, driving while license is suspended/revoked, and attempting to elude an police officer)
