Exciting opportunity to

support the sustainment and engineering upgrades for Naval Aviation.

Position will allow liaison between NAVAIR,

OPNAV, and other military Services in the review, analysis, and change

developments for NAVAIR, DoN, and DoD system engineering policies, practices,

and guidance impacting the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance

Forces of Naval Aviation.


and Responsibilities

Seeking a Journey Level Systems Analyst to support the Maritime

Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office (PMA-290) on the sustainment

and advanced development of the P-8A Poseidon.

Successful candidate will collect

information for analysis and evaluation and perform logical and physical system

design and reviews, preparing system documents and specifications.

Candidate conducts technical research on

system upgrades to the P-8A Poseidon Aircraft and it’s support systems to

determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with aircraft


Specific duties will include:

Preparing reports, studies, and documentation.

Creation and delivery of presentations.

Participation of in Program and Integrated Product Team

(IPT) meetings.

Conduct analysis on special problem areas.

Administer complex areas of the network, security analysis,

and planning.




Position requires a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in

related scientific/engineering field. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:

An AS or AA degree from an accredited college

or university in related scientific/engineering field and an additional four

(4) years of recent and relevant technical experience; OR an additional eight

(8) years of recent and relevant technical experience may be substituted for a

BS or BA degree.

These four (4) years or

eight (8) years of experience, respectively, are in addition to the required

minimum of six (6) years to meet the “Experience” requirements below,

therefore, requiring a total of ten (10) yeas or fourteen (14) years of

experience, respectively.


At least six (6)

years of recent and relevant technical experience in a technical analysis

position with mid-sized client-server systems in systems analysis, software

design, software development, or system administration is required


Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance,

quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques is


Experience working

independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical

techniques and methodologies along with demonstrated knowledge of system

acquisition practices required to design, develop, integrate, test and

manufacture a major system is required.



already have at least a SECRET security clearance.


with Microsoft Office productivity suite specifically Excel, PowerPoint,

Project, and Word is required.
