Operations Research Analyst
Exciting opportunity to support the sustainment and engineering upgrades for Naval Aviation. Position will allow liaison between NAVAIR, OPNAV, and other military Services in the review, analysis, and change developments for NAVAIR, DoN, and DoD system engineering policies, practices, and guidance impacting the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Forces of Naval Aviation.
Role and Responsibilities
Seeking a Journey Level Operations Research Analyst to support the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office (PMA-290) on the sustainment and advanced development of the P-8A Poseidon. Successful candidate will apply scientific, mathematics, and statistical methodologies to the study and analysis of technological problems in relation to engineering and scientific development of process, systems and equipment for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft and its support systems. Candidate will utilize mathematical and computerized modeling and other analytical techniques to design procedures for and execute experiments, test, and evaluations on weapons systems or equipment.
Education/Experience: Position requires a BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Engineering.
At least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering or operations analysis position with demonstrated knowledge in an area of engineering expertise is required.
Applicant must already have at least a SECRET security clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Office productivity suite specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word is required.
