The Maintenance Mechanic/Technician is a full-time position that is responsible for various maintenance functions including overseeing preventative maintenance, trouble-shooting equipment issues, repair of equipment, and the occasional emergency fix that is needed. Each of these jobs are worked on with an eye towards maximizing plant efficiency.Duties and responsibilities:- Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment when needed, helping to adjust and set up equipment for daily production.- Overseeing preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspection of all machinery.- Light plumbing, electrical, welding and carpentry when needed- Work with the Maintenance Manager to recommend machine upgrades to boost efficiency- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.Qualifications- Experience with food packaging machines is required. Examples: Multivac Tray Sealers, Multivac Thermoformers, Weber (high-speed) Slicers and other equipment- Experience with process equipment such as Weber Slicers, Pick and Pack Automation is required- Advanced mechanical and electrical skillsAble to read engineering schematic such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic- Experienced in HVAC a plus- Pneumatic Equipment- Excellent communication skills.- Work in refrigerated environmentFixed daily hours Monday - FridayOccasional overtime/weekend work as neededWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company.
