U.S. Bank Business Line Control Analyst - Consumer and Business Banking - Minneapolis or Home-Based US in Owensboro, Kentucky

This person will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and effective standard to CBB risk assessments and control design, and to act as the control point for documentation in the Bank’s system of record to ensure it adheres to the Business Line Control Environment, Operational Risk Taxonomy, and Risk Control Self-Assessment policies and Enterprise Compliance Risk Assessment procedure. Responsibilities include acting as a single point of contact for all parties (i.e. ORM, Corporate Compliance, CAS, FaRB, EFCC, CBB BU’s), providing risk and control subject matter expertise to stakeholders, providing credible challenge on inherent risk and control environment ratings, and risk/control change management. Other responsibilities include executing on other initiatives across the Bank, including the Risk Framework Initiative and Risk Management Initiatives, developing risk appetite statements and other risk related projects as needed. The role requires risk and control knowledge.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Seven to ten years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business

  • Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

  • Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations

  • Applicable professional certifications preferred - CPA, CIA
