Our flexible options include four 10-hour shifts, three 12-hour shifts, and overtime Fridays. And when the unexpected does arise, we'll work with you to help you be where, and when, you are needed most. Position Objective: To efficiently set up and operate the more-complex machines in the Metal Shop to produce metal parts which consistently meet established quality and quantity conformance requirements all while providing timely and effective work direction to Metal Machine Operators as required. Job Description: Reviews work assignments, paperwork, and other documentation/directions to facilitate the best planning of time and activity for the shift Sets up, adjusts and operates with speed and accuracy a variety of the more-complex metal machines including, but not limited to: laser, press brake, shear, in-line punching and roll forming unit, and all other less-complex machines in the area as necessary Reads and interprets drawings to determine specifications for metal work Checks completed work for conformance with specifications, noting and conferring with the Unit Manager or others on problems, and forwarding NCM data for further review and action Provides general guidance and work direction for Metal Machine Operators in a manner which contributes to their consistent achievement of expected standards for operations performed Verifies and records the amounts of materials used in each operation to help ensure accurate production and inventory control data Oversees and/or performs preventative and routine maintenance on assigned machines to minimize delay and downtime Shares information, observations and recommendations for improvements in processes which will maintain and possibly increase overall results in relation to established conformance reqwuirements Programs CNC Laser and CNC Brake Press Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested Minimum Qualifications: Some formal trade school with a minimum of one (1) year previous training or on-the-job experience or a minimum of three (3) years work experience Proficient in programming CNC machining center Ability to read and interpret shop drawings Skill to set up, adjust and operate metal shop machines Wenger Corporation is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action Employer/Male/Female/Disability/Veterans
