This role, for a Manager – Medical Services, will provide professional medical, technical, and consulting advice, information, and recommendations to in support of claims evaluation, investigation and assessment for various claims-related departments. Provide subject-matter specific guidance and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determines training needs and best method for addressing them. Determines training content and may deliver training.

  • Manages the quality assurance program, including the development of accurate and comprehensive reporting/documentation, assists with resolution of escalated claim issues including state insurance complaints and presidential complaints.

  • Manages staff performing analyses, may update documentation/policies/manuals to reflect trends identified via analyses.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ yrs. related experience

  • Licensure in Nursing, Social work or Rehabilitation

Preferred:

  • Advanced clinical degree

  • 10+ yrs. related experience

  • Extensive knowledge of medical conditions, symptoms, and terminology.

  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems.

  • Advanced written/verbal communication.

  • Advanced relationship building and management.

  • Strong customer satisfaction focus.
