KBF is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Audit & Advisory Services team.

The KBF Audit & Advisory team provides professionals with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the year to help build invaluable skills and experience. The group’s collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment offers professionals the opportunity to work with both high-caliber team members and top-tier clients while maintaining a small-firm atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  1. Execute day-to-day activities of audit engagement by reviewing, analyzing, and testing financial data to gain comprehensive understanding of client’s internal processes, transactions, and accounting practices to ensure alignment with relevant auditing standards, regulations, and legal requirements.

  2. Communicate with clients to develop and maintain strong client relationships and ensure efficient information flow from client to audit team.

  3. Proactively manage project deadlines of audit work performed to ensure delivery of work products based on client expectations and deadlines while ensuring alignment with auditing standards.

  4. Assist with development and supervision of Audit Associates and Interns by coaching, providing feedback, and reviewing draft audit documentation work product.

  5. Openly collaborate with partners, managers, and teams about status, audit findings, timeline, issues, tasks, and associated budgets.

  6. Stay up to date with current auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry-specific knowledge.

  7. Review and analyze audit engagements by using various auditing tools and software.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance, or a financial discipline directly related to the position (foreign equivalent acceptable) and must have completed the necessary academic credit hours to sit for the CPA exam.

Experience: 2 years' experience as an Auditor or similar position.

2 years of experience in each of the following:

  1. Preparing financial audits that are compliant with current legislation and best practices;

  2. Preparing individual audits and financial statements or reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural standards, rules, and regulations;

  3. Applying U.S. GAAP to accounting and audit processes;

  4. Leading and mentoring a team of 2-3 Audit Interns and Audit Associates; and

  5. Ensuring audit work meets statutory and client deadline

All experience, skills, and requirements may be gained concurrently.

Location: Lake Oswego, OR; position reports to headquarters in Lake Oswego, OR; may telecommute from home within Lake Oswego-Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA

Travel: Travel to client sites within Lake Oswego-Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro, OR-WA up to 30% for client meetings related to tax audit review
