Providence Health & Services Administrative Supervisor - Nursing Administration in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling for a Administrative Supervisor(0.6 FTE, Night Shift) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Supervisor to provide nursing service administration and leadership on all shifts, holiday and weekends to ensure delivery of comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. The administrative Supervisor acts as a representative of administration and coordinates hospital and department activities on assigned shift.
In this position you will:
Collaborates with managers and charge nurses to coordinate nursing and hospital activities on assigned shift. Applies “system thinking” to identify and develop solutions to problems
Understands models of patient care unique to each unit and works within this framework to communicate and provide leadership
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to discuss difficult and uncomfortable topics resolve conflict and manage customer service concerns
Ability to understand, be receptive and respond to change after processes and procedures to optimize quality patient care and communicates this in action and word
Actively manages, facilitates and implements proactive steps to maximize patient flow (throughput) across all clinical settings
Leads and coordinates shift work teams for staffing, bed placement and transfer center, to ensure acceptance of all transfers within capacity and capability of medical center
Leads daily bed huddle for shift with active emphasis on ensuring patient discharges and patient flow from one setting to another through frequent rounding and timely bed management
Facilitates the assignment of the float pool resource RNs and CNAs to area of greatest need to keep patient flow moving
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for Healthcare Providers
Five years of acute professional experience (within the last seven years) with one year being in entry level management or supervision
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
