Assembler

Randstad is currently looking for 1st shift assemblers to work in North Charleston.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK MANDATORY OVERTIME ON WEEKENDS

Responsibilities:

Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures

Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with OMS procedures, & work instructions

Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment

Demonstrate the ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty operate equipment, to meet the requirement of customers and build schedules

Maintain cleanliness in work areas, in compliance with assigned work site tasks

Execute specified installation and part assembly per verbal or written instructions.

Inspect, test and verify completion of product components and final assemble units

Conduct analysis of nonconformances, troubleshoot, and modify as necessary

Document, package and ship per OMS, or verbal/ written instructions

Ability to become knowledgeable of multiple operational tasks, and various work stations

Participate in training activities including , but not limited to quality, safety, and operations

Demonstrate continuous improvement through rotation of operational workstations as required by supervisor

Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:15 AM

Skills:

-Knowledge of basic shop math, including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractions

-Ability to read and use measuring tools

-Ability to interpret blueprints

-Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs on a regular basis

-Must be capable of repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing for long hours

Education:

No Degree Required

Experience:

Experienced

Qualifications:

Stand for extended periods of time

Frequently lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, and correctly lift up to 75 lbs *

Occasionally to frequently bend, twist and squat

Perform fast-paced repetitive use of both right and left hands, including light-grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and carrying
