Your day in the role will include...
Network Support Engineer will be responsible for configuration and execution of network changes on internal and customer facing network (routing and switching) infrastructure and application (firewall and load balancer) devices.
The engineer works on multiple simultaneous projects supporting innovative cloud technologies and configuration in conjunction with other technical groups, acting as key member in Service Delivery/Operations. This team is responsible for ensuring the overall availability of IBM Cloud Network infrastructure. This includes monitoring system availability 24x7, execution and operational support of the steady state environment – incidents and changes using Remedy ticketing system.

Configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA or Palo Alto) and load balancers (Cisco ACE, Citrix NetScaler or F5 preferred)
Configuration of GRE, IPSec, OSPF, EIGRP & BGP
Routing and switching technologies, 802.1q, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN, MPLS, VRF
Firewall management, preferably with Cisco ASA firewalls running multi-context
Intermediate level TCP/IP packet analysis, using Wireshark or raw packet assembles using tcp dump.
Minimum of three years of experience leading large scale multi tenant WAN/LAN networks.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Deep knowledge on routing and Security
Required to troubleshoot and provide vailed RCA
Engage in all major change migration
Documentation and SOP preparation/validation
Perform DR drill and propose new technology
You will coordinate with customer and build strong relationship
Optimize and give permanent solution for network issue
Build network redundancy and reduce human intervention
Validate network design and architecture
