Requirements of the Job/What does the perfect resume look like?:

  1. Person needs to be willing to learn, a self-starter, will have their hands in everything

  2. Basic knowledge of accounting -- AP, AR, payroll, general ledger

  3. Understanding basis of financial reporting

  4. Multi-entity accounting experience

  5. Experience in consolidations, loan originations, fund structures, investments a plus, but not required

  6. Experience with budget to actuals, roll up's, reporting to auditors

  7. Experience recording investment transactions in Finance or Real Estate (plus, not required)

Essential Functions / Job Description:

  • Primary responsibilities include the management of accounts payable and receivable, billings to clients for services provided, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, monthly close process, consolidation and reporting of financial results. Record loan originations, receipt of payments/payoffs and monthly interest income

  • Record sales of REOs and NPLs to third parties

  • Deposit of checks received

  • Process expense reports and check runs and ensure transactions are coded to the correct accounts

  • Obtain cashier?s checks from the bank

  • Weekly general ledger posting and data download

  • Monthly bank and account reconciliations

  • Calculation and collection of monthly management fees

  • Monthly allocation of vendor charges to assets

  • Yearly 1099/1096 processing and reporting

  • Preparation of monthly financials which includes balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, statement of members capital, and budget vs actual
