One of Live Nation’s joint ventures is looking for a VP, Local Market Sales & Brand Partnerships to drive new advertiser acquisition in key local markets for the company’s roster of music and sports-based talent, event and social media offerings.
Responsible for developing, leading and closing sales efforts of local/regional advertisers in target U.S. markets. Specific focus on key markets that align with our events and talent, including, but not limited to: New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Miami, Washington D.C., Baltimore and others. Intensely seeks opportunities to grow business by executing the sales strategies dictated by the SVP, teaming with other VP’s and internal stakeholders in targeting new clients, developing key relationships, actively pursuing new product business, and providing excellent account management.
Meet budgeted revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Negotiate deals with local advertisers
Coordinate sales strategies SVP and other Sales VP’s
Build and maintain an accurate forecast for the quarter
Maintain a file of potential target accounts in every target market, especially non-traditional sales opportunities
Partner with support teams (i.e., Creative, Research, Activation) to create and deliver RFPs
Ensure an exceptional experience for both advertisers and talent
Develop high retention rate for advertisers
Drive operational excellence
Regular travel to key markets
Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
A Bachelor's degree
Minimum 10-15 years in either local media sales and/or local sports/event sponsorship sales
Strong project and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong business judgment
Experience working with a high-performing sales organization
Strong, detailed knowledge of enterprise and mid-sized business sales cycles
Candidate must also be a self-motivated individual, quick on their toes, and show initiative to go the extra mile
