Wells Fargo Securities Technology is looking for a Technical Lead Core java developer for the build out of securities lending and repo trading platform. The individual in this role will:

  • Be a hands on lead in core java experience building high performance, low latency trading application that can scale for large volumes.

  • Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.

  • Analyze highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.

  • Provide coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code.

  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.

  • Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.

  • Oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.

  • Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.

  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

The individual in this role should be:

  • Knowledgeable in trade life cycle and transaction processing.

  • Have experience with securities lending or repo trading vendor applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of application development experience

  • 3+ years of securities industry experience

  • 5+ years of brokerage or securities lending experience

  • 7+ years of Spring experience

  • 7+ years of trading systems development or implementation experience

  • 7+ years of Multi-Threading Experience

  • 7 + years of Core Java experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: development and life cycle (SDLC) methodology
