Citigroup Retail Business Banking Product Manager in New York, New York

  • Retail Business Banking Segment Manager: C13 Brief Description of the Organization North American (NA) Consumer Banking. Over 30,000 professionals working together to provide consumer and business customers with retail banking services, credit (bank financing, credit cards, mortgages), wealth management, and payment products and services Summary This position is part of the Retail Segments Team which is responsible for the growth of both consumer and retail business banking segments. Specifically, the candidate will be part of the Retail Business Banking Segment Team, accountable for driving acquisition, retention, and deepening of Retail Business accounts. This position will assist the team in building out the segment approach to Retail Business Banking, including developing the value proposition and segmentation strategy, and then executing programs against this strategy to reach business goals. This position will report to the Retail Business Banking Segment Head. This role will work closely with our key partners such as Marketing, Sales and Strategy, Deposit and Credit Products, Credit Cards, Decision Management, and Finance. The successful candidate will be able to execute against these responsibilities. Responsibilities:

  • Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies for acquisition, retention, and deepening.

  • Set targets for key metrics for the segment, track monthly with quarterly deep dives.

  • Create and manage book of work for acquisition and retention targets.

  • Coordinate and manage deliverables for the strategic roadmap.

  • Monitor customer experience across all client touch points.

  • Prepare business reviews to highlight findings and recommendations toSenior Management.

  • Partner with various functional partners to develop and execute promotional offers and marketing to drive client growth and engagement.

  • Develop programs to acquire more multi-relationship customers.

  • Partner with sales teams to develop and execute sponsorships, local events, trade shows, Blitzs, and Small Business Month activities.

  • Lead the development of sales presentations, sell sheets, and flyers for acquisition of new to bank customers.

  • Responsible for the segment’s internal website for redesign, updates and revisions.

  • Programmatically work with the Business Bankers to better understand customer issues and desires for the future.

  • Manage internal communications to the field.

  • Manage vendor relationships for leads, lead sheets, internal website, and insights.

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred

  • Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in retail bank marketing, product, and/or segment programs; familiarity with Small Business segment needs

  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve goals

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging management information and data analytics to drive results

  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as needed

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Demonstrated analytical, project and process management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with people across different functions and multiple levels across organization

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically to deliver projects successfully and on-time

  • Superior critical thinking skills

  • Rigorous attention to details

  • Flexible, adaptable. Able to tackle a broad variety of issues/deliverables based on business needs.
