JPMorgan Chase Asset Management - Beta Strategies - Sales Manager - Vice President in New York, New York

We presently are searching for a ETF Sales/Sales Manager to provide additional leadership within our ETF sales organization. This position will have two key components. The first aspect of the role will be to manage a team of 2-5 ETF external wholesalers. In this capacity the individual would be expected to provide leadership, develop their team members and manage them on a day to day basis. In addition to the management responsibilities the individual would have an ETF territory where they are covering clients directly as part of their day to day functions. The role will sit on the US ETF Distribution Management Team along with their counterpart as well as the Head of Institutional, National Accounts and the Internal Sales desk.

  • Profitable growth of sales and assets, as well as the retention of assets, of JPMorgan ETF

  • Advises and coaches ETF Sales Specialists on ways to improve sales performance to grow the ETF franchise

Essential Job Functions:

Business Development

  • Develop, implement and monitor practices to increase the Sales Specialists’ effectiveness and efficiency

  • Organize and direct sales development and training activities

  • Work with ETF Global Strategic Relationships team to advance the sales process from strategic initiatives

  • Monitor implementation and progress of territory business plans

  • Monitor progress of sales goal achievement

People Management – Facilitate a dynamic sales environment of top producers

  • Evaluating the quality of the Sales Specialists and provide weekly coaching to enhance skills and territory management abilities

  • Retain and develop high quality staff who have the ability to maximize the opportunity in their territory

  • Support and train on the development of sales skills among the team and ensure ongoing enhancement of their industry and product knowledge

  • Evaluate and provide developmental feedback to Sales Specialists on an ongoing basis

  • Travel with Sales Specialists to observe quality of presentations, ability, acceptance by clients and provide constructive input for improvement

Organizational Management

  • Activity – Report on Monthly activity metrics to sales management and various sales reports as needed; Maintain and monitor travel schedules for the team

  • Team Development – Lead weekly meetings, participate on conference calls, attend sales meetings, marketing meetings, and others as necessary


  • Resource Management – Demonstrated abilities in coaching a sales organization and accomplishment of sales goals

  • Communications – Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills

  • Technical Expertise – Ability to demonstrate industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the client and marketplace

  • Education – Bachelor degree preferred

  • Experience 3 or more years of prior financial service management experience and/or 8 or more years mutual fund and managed money wholesaling experience

  • Licenses – Minimum requirement Series 6, Series 7, 63, and 24 (possess or obtain)
