Employer: Moody’s Investors Service, Inc.Title: VP - Senior Credit OfficerLocation: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007Duties: Manage a complex and high-profile portfolio of corporate issuers within a designated industry. Ensure accurate ratings through rigorous and timely credit analysis. Evaluate evolving factors such as liquidity, corporate capital structures, hybrid instruments, dynamic business conditions and ESG considerations. Harmonize analytical approaches and implement new policies and procedures where necessary in close cooperation with Senior Management. Publish research reports for rated companies, sector-wide and cross-sector credit themes. Proactively identify relevant topics for research and help lead research coordination efforts for the team. Review draft research products of team members. Build rapport with company management teams and engage regularly with investors, intermediaries and the media, communicating critical credit views and demonstrating deep industry and company knowledge. Oversee strategic relationships with issuers and intermediaries and interact frequently based upon industry and topical research written. Conduct outreach events/intermediary briefings, one-on-one investor meetings and interviews with the press. Lead issuer meetings, including presenting key rating factors effectively and asking probing questions that result in substantive dialog about key rating issues. Present credits effectively and comprehensively in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings. Collaborate at all levels within the organization and be responsible for coaching and developing junior associates and developing their credit skills. Domestic and international travel required approximately 10% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict. Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related quantitative field plus six (6) years of progressively responsible experience as a Financial Analyst, Credit Analyst, or in a related position in a financial services organization or credit ratings agency. Full term of experience must include the following: credit analysis experience including strong technical skills in accounting, financial statements, and cash flow-based analysis, and the application of relevant rating methodologies and their application across investment grade and speculative grade companies; a strong understanding of global capital markets, including regional variances across the globe, capital structures and debt documentation, including hybrid instruments; global credit coverage experience conducting complex credit analyses; evaluating legal documentation and analyzing complex financial structures. Domestic and international travel required approximately 10% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $169,707 - $335,500, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
