Job Summary

This position is the first point of contact for employees and managers on all questions related to HR policies and programs. This position will focus on efficiently resolving questions while providing exceptional customer service.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service through phone calls, chat messages and online request forms

  • Answer questions on Colgate’s HR policies, programs and systems in a professional and efficient manner

  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and data protection policies and regulations

  • Document all relevant notes on inquiries and resolution actions in case management system

  • Review all relevant documentation and articles available in knowledge management system to provide thorough and accurate answers

  • Research and follow up on open items as necessary to resolve customer questions

  • Escalate requests appropriately where guidance or further clarification of policies and procedures is required

  • Propose updates to content in the Knowledge Management system to help with future inquiry resolution

Education/ Experience Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Associate Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

  • 1 year of experience in HR, customer service or related field (preferred)

  • 1 year experience in the contact service industry (preferred)

  • 2 years of experience in Colgate operations (preferred)

  • Data entry experience

  • Experience with HR and/or shared services technology functionality (e.g., case management, knowledge management, ESS/MSS, etc.)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of HR processes and practices

  • Ability to answer inquiries on own initiative by effective use of relevant written data and information

  • Good organization and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize critical items while learning quickly

  • Ability to follow through and successfully manage through difficult interactions

  • Ability to handle questions via multiple formats: phone calls, chat messages and online request forms

  • Ability to speak two or more the following languages: English, Spanish & Portuguese
