Your Responsibilities

This position is currently eligible for a telework and/or compressed workweek arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes, and remains subject to change.

As a Security Analyst for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will serve as a coordinator of the daily activities regarding overall maintenance of SAP roles. In addition, you will:

  • Understand and apply current Information Technology (IT) security polices and provides input to new policies to ensure adherence to standards established by Corporate Computer security

  • Take an active role in identifying security risks and in investigating, deploying, and supporting new tools and procedures to minimize that risk

  • Use analytical skills to resolve medium to high security issues

  • Work on teams for providing tools, techniques and procedures used by Security employees in the role of Security Analyst I and Security Analyst II

  • Participate fully as an effective team member and is capable of performing any role on the team including some leadership as required. Participates on multiple teams. Assumes some responsibility for own teaming ability as well as strengthening the ability of others

  • Take part in projects involving existing and new processes and tools that affect SAP role security administration

  • Monitor the quality of the process and actively look for ways to improve the process

  • Provide input into many decisions concerning tools and processes and make decisions for requests that fall outside of normal processes

  • Work on tasks and projects that are medium to high risk and of moderate to high complexity in nature where errors could affect the Enterprise

What Skills You Need

  • Knowledge of roles, objects, and user profiles within SAP

  • Knowledge of SAP security administration

  • Knowledge of SAP security policies and a general overall knowledge of computer security concepts

  • Strong analytical skills

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • 2 or more years of information technology experience and/or business experience

  • General computer security or information technology (IT) auditing experience

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
