GENERAL FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for the promotion and sale of BD Diabetes Products for Alberta North ideally based in Edmonton. The successful candidate will focus on increasing sales, managing the HCP Diabetes channels including Diabetes Education Centers, Specialist, GP offices and Pharmacy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve assigned quarterly and annual product line, total sales quotas and distribution goals.

  • Achieve account specific distribution and promotion goals for all products as defined by fiscal year performance standards.

  • Plan for effective and efficient coverage of assigned customers including Diabetes Education Centres, Specialist and GP offices, Hospital and Pharmacy, through proactive territory planning and continuously updating personal knowledge of the diabetes disease state.

  • Create strong plans of action against key pharmacy and clinical accounts within territory; disseminate clinical evidence, patient resource tools and sell based on evidence and tools featuring product/patient benefits with emphasis on gaining commitment.

  • Foster strong business relationships KOLs

  • Partner with other key Diabetes Healthcare companies to initiative complimentary programs/initiatives that drive business results.

  • Run Continuing Education Programs to help drive clinical messaging to the Diabetes HCP

  • Maintain up-to-date records of communication/customer commitment via SFDC.

  • Actively investigate and report market conditions, product acceptance/rejection and promotional activities to aid in the development of strategic marketing plans and local opportunity market programs.

  • Manage territory expenses within allocated budget and submit required reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree required. Science background an asset

  • Three years sales experience selling to healthcare professionals & specialists

  • Exceptional presentation skills

  • Knowledge of the Diabetes disease state is an asset.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal & external customers.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SFDC (salesforce.com) an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and Self-motivated team-player.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Overnight travel required
