Data Analyst

job summary:

Looking for a candidate who has excellent analytical skills, particularly using MS Excel, MS Access, and other tools to put together a method for tracking high complexity testing plans with multiple inputs that can change daily. Would need to ensure that whatever is built can be updated/modified as dates and events change. We specifically need this person to create a tracking mechanism in MS Access to report on progress related to user training until go-live.

responsibilities:

Description of Activities:

  • Analyze data related to a Business Process Lifecycle to help support and drive planning and execution activities

  • Perform necessary reconciliations and maintain data integrity between repositories (BAR and SharePoint) - Weekly to Monthly Tasks

  • Coordinate and communicate changes of data repository (Business Process Reporting SharePoint site) to Project Manager (PMO) to ensure planning tools are up to date

  • Coordinate with Business Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME) resources to assist with prioritization of business scope and communicate to Project Manager to track as part of the overall project plan

  • Solid understanding and experience gathering and documenting business requirements

qualifications:

Skillset(s) Required:

  • Data analysis experience with a strong ability to assess and solve complex situations related to product lifecycle activities

  • SQL query or equivalent experience with data report creation and monitoring capabilities looking at large data sets

  • Business and/or operational workflow experience in the systems analysis/design space

  • Detailed and task oriented processor with an ability to identify root cause and effect positive change through data mining

  • Comfortable communicating and reporting analysis to team members on the SWP Leadership and Business team(s)

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, MS Access and Visio (or related workflow tool(s))

  • Fast learner who possesses a strong mentality to own and run with assigned tasks while partnering with a business resource(s)
